1.Course Description

Making the right impression needs practice and conscious effort. And to make a right impression we need to understand the audience’s expectation from us”.The two words 'information' and 'communication' are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different things. Information is giving out; communication is getting through.” Sydney J. Harris. The course is so designed that the participants hone their communication to be an effective communicator starting from interview panels to board rooms.

Discussions, mock interviews, individual presentations, peer feedback, self analysis and voicing one’s weakness, listening to criticism etc

Knowledge of the principles and theories, tested by application in oral communication 20%

End term examination ( self analysis and individual presentation) 35%
Class Participation and attendance 15%

6. Academic Integrity

Participantsare expected to be present in the classroom to be marked present. To read and come prepared to the class and contribute effectively. Submit assignments on time and also should be punctual for the programme sessions,conduct with respectful consideration to each other. Lastly nothing else is important other than the class you are sitting in.
