1. Course Description:

Enterprise Systems includes enterprise resource planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and other enterprise-level systems such as the Human Capital Management (HCM) which are critical to all dynamic companies having global presence. The course aims to provide both an overall exposure to the basic ERP concepts, and the specifics of the Human Capital Management (HCM) module. So, a thorough grounding on Enterprise Systems for Management including the basics of System Integration, the Enterprise Systems Architecture, and ERP Implementation Life Cycle will be covered first. Then, the course will encompass learning to implement the HCM module of SAP which also includes the execution of the organizational processes such as Enterprise Structure, Personnel Structure, Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Recruitment, Training and Event Management, Time Management and Payroll Management. This predominant part will be through hands-on lab exercises to get acquainted with the HCM module of the SAP interface. A running case (Star Wagon) using the IDES client will be used during the course.

· Understand ERP Architectures, and the ERP Life Cycle for IT enabled Enterprise Management
· Implement the various HR processes such as Organizational management, Personnel Administration, and Recruitment using SAP ERP

The course is based on the Star Wagon case study using the IDES client and the accompanying dataset. The skills you will acquire in this course will provide you an integrated view of the various HR processes and will be very useful for most of the HR managers. You are responsible for all of the materials covered in class. You are free to meet your instructor in connection with homework assignments and to clarify any concepts from the lecture, with appointment.

Course Conduct
The class should be absolutely disciplined without any disruptive activities at all times. Adopting unfair means or mal-practice/s, or plagiarism in any form, during the course including the exam/s will attract an F grade in the entire course.
Course Transparency
You are free to meet and ask your instructor regarding any discrepancy as regards evaluation of any component/s with appointment. You will be shown the answer scripts and any discrepancy will be sorted out.
