1. Course Description

The study of Organisational Behaviour covers three broad areas. The first is the study of individuals in the organisation - their personalities, attitudes, motivations and interaction patterns, which are the basic raw material in the functioning of social organisations. This raw material undergoes considerable change in the process of interaction with other variables in the organisation. Leadership, power and group dynamics are some of the key variables which have immediate consequences for individual behaviour and performance in work organisations.

2. Student Learning Outcomes (typically 3-5 bullet points)

· Be able to identify their own managerial/leadership styles
· Be able to identify leadership styles of people who work with them
· Be able to identify their leadership competencies in terms of conflict management, delegation, change management, negotiation, power and team work.

6. Academic Integrity

· Late comers to the class will not be given attendance. They may also be refrained from attending the class. Each absence from the class will make the student lose ONE half a grade point.
· A high level of academic integrity is expected in the course, and any violations will be subject to disciplinary action as per the rules of XIMB.
· You must demonstrate high order of academic integrity being attentive in the class and regularly read the prescribed reading material. In case of group assignment, all members of the group should contribute to the preparation of the report and you are expected to write the report in your own style and language. Your basic purpose should be to learn, without resorting to any unfair means for getting a higher score/grade.
· Those who will be identified disturbing in the class will be asked to leave the class immediately. Any form of copying from one another or from any outside source is forbidden.
