OBJECTIVE
This course is addressed to those who would be Co-ordinators of Learning and Development in the organisation and also Trainers. Hence the objectives of the course are-
1.To understand the issues in managing the Learning and Development function at the Individual and Organisational levels;
2.To develop the basic skills to design , develop and implement the learning and development programs in an organisation.

Module A. Principles of Learning
1. Overview of the Prinicples of Learning involved in Learning and Development in an Organisation
2. Understanding the basic Principles of Learning which govern Learning and Development
Module B. How to Plan Training in an Organisation
1. Understanding the need for Planning of Training in an Organisation
2. Understanding what goes into Planning and Designing a Training program
3. Techniques of Planning and Transfer of Learning
4. Evaluation of Training.
Module C. Implementing Training in an Organisation
1. Understanding the technique of implementing of training in an Organisation
2. Conducting a Training Program

Group Work
The students will be assigned into groups to work on Presentations to be made on issues/ topics to be given during the course.
Project
The Project will be a take home assignment which will be an individual project. These projects will have to be submitted when the students return to campus for the End Term Exam for the course.
