Objective:
To promote an understanding of
· Various Quality initiatives (TQM & Six Sigma) and there historical development.
· Linkage of Statistical/ Analytical and Managerial tools with TQM/ Six Sigma quality initiatives
· Difference in TQM & Six Sigma
· Application of Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies of “real world” continuous improvement project.
· The organization wide implementation model and successful case studies in India.

Topics to be covered:
1. Introduction to Quality and Total Quality Management
2. History and fundamentals of Quality Management,
3. Measurement of Customer Satisfaction
4. Process Management Tools e.g., VSM, SIPOC, Flow charts
5. Data, Descriptive and Inferential Statistics
6. Statistical Process Control and Control Chart
7. Measurement System Analysis
8. Quality Function Deployment (QFD)
9. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
10. Design of Experiment,
11. Introduction to Six Sigma
12. Six Sigma Project Selection, Execution, Monitoring and Planning
13. Six Sigma DMAIC methodology
14. Integration of TQM, Quality System, Six Sigma and Lean Concept
15. Implementation & road blocks for Quality Management
16. Six Sigma and TQM Case studies discussions

Evaluation Method:
Standard XIMB criteria will be used.
