1. Scope

2. Course Objectives
· To acquire a demonstrable understanding of group dynamics and its impact on the individual, community and organization
· To develop observational and diagnostic skills to study and analyse group behaviour in communities and organisations
· To develop knowledge and skills in team building, leadership, group decision making, managing conflicts and inter-group collaboration.
3. Pedagogy
4. Course Requirements 4.1 Individual Assignment 1. Identification and finalizing the article for review with the course instructor: 20th September 2005, by 3.30 PM
2. Submission of review: 26th September, 2005, by 3.30 PM

4.2 Performing Teams: Each group, in order to function as a team will undertake a project on any socially relevant topic decided by the group in consultation with the course instructor. The guidelines for the assignment will be jointly developed by the groups and the instructor. Each group will submit a passport size photograph of each of its members (also an electronic copy) to the course instructor by 14th September 2006. Each group will also design a logo to indicate its motto/goal. The logo should be submitted by 15th September, 2006.
1. Submission of project title: 15th September, 2006
2. Completion of assignments: By 19th November, 2006 (each group will indicate the date of completion by 5th October,2006
5. Evaluation Criteria · Individual Assignment : 10 %
· Group Assignment : 20 %
· Presentation in OB-II Conclave : 10%
· Group Development Lab : 10%
· End Term : 40%
