COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this era of globalization and uncertainty, talent management has become a top business priority for organizations. Surveys by Mckinsey, Hewitt & DDI have shown that companies with stronger talent management process enjoy higher return on equity and profit when compared with their competitors over a period of time. Hence, it is no longer an option but a strategic imperative for organizations to drive their talent management effectively in order to survive and thrive in a chaotic world. No wonder, Talent Management has become the top priority for Business Managers & HR Managers
Talent Management is about making sure that organization has the right talent in the right places to achieve the business objectives. In simplest term, talent management is about acquiring, identifying, developing, engaging & deploying talent in line with organization’s current and future business goals. A structured talent management process will systematically close the gap between the human capital an organization currently has and the leadership talent it will eventually need to respond to business challenges. An effective talent management system builds a winning organization by accelerating the development of high potential employees.
This 3.0 credit course covers detailed topics related to concepts & practices of Talent Management. The course will give a comprehensive understanding of entire range of talent management processes & strategies. Those who attend the class will learn end to end talent management process and will acquire professional expertise to design and implement talent management strategy in an organization.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:
After completing this course, students will be able to;

Understand how organizations globally & in India acquire, identify, develop, engage & deploy talent to support their business plan.

Design and implement talent management strategy and process in organizations.

Acquire necessary professional skill & expertise as Line Managers & HR Managers to drive talent management in organizations.

Gain self awareness and insight in to own potentials and how to leverage potential to maximize individual success.

Class Presentation: All cases must be prepared prior to coming to the classes. Written case submission is needed prior to case presentation.
