ORGANISATION CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT
COURSE PLAN
Course Instructors: Dr. S. Peppin & Dr. Snigdha Pattnaik
1. Scope:
Organisations, as living organisms, are susceptible to many changes. Often these changes are effected by factors, which are both external and internal to organizations. In addition, these changes have an impact both within and outside the organisation. Organisation Development (OD) enables us to understand these factors and to take appropriate interventions to make and manage changes, which is possible only if the organization has embraced the culture of learning. The culture of learning is largely influenced by the systems and practices the organizations have adopted to manage their intellectual capital or the knowledge. Thus the purpose of this course is to provide the participants an overview of concepts, principles and practices of OD and Change Management, with special emphasis on knowledge management and learning organisations.
