To makes the students understand the concept and scope of industrial relations with special reference to (a) its place in the HRM and (b) the dynamics of employment relationship in its integrated processes.

- Role of State in regulating employer-employer relations & the nature and extent of regulation
- ILO - Employer's Organisations & Employees' Organisations – Joint Consulotation
- The nature of industrial conflict; industrial unrest in India; and the Industrial relations machinery
- Players, Tools and Processes in IR

- Industrial Dsicipline – Acts of Misconduct – Disciplinary Action
- Industrial Democracy – Employee Involvement
