Course Objectives:

The objective of this course is to provide a broad exposure on the various Information Systems (IS) topics ranging from classical introductory concepts to contemporary strategic topics like impacts of MIS upon a firm, and how leading edge firms are leveraging IT capabilities, and what more they can look forward to. Viewing from this perspective, the role of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is very crucial in organizations today. We will also have a brief exposure to the Knowledge Management paradigm. The course delivery will be through lecture sessions as well as case study discussions, which will present a lot of typical real-life situations.

Term Project:

For the Term Project, you will have a chance to apply your knowledge/concepts taught in the class to real-life situation, which will be assigned to you individually toward the end of the course, and you will have to submit a write-up within the stipulated deadline (about 4 weeks). Failure to submit the completed write-up within the deadline will attract penalty.
