HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Step 1: Talk to several people belonging to different organizations and find an interesting issue / incident / event / problem / crisis that relates to any area of HR that we are covering in the course.
Step 2: Identify any one issue that you will take up for your study. It may relate to HR in general or may relate to a specific area in HR like, recruitment or training or performance management or any other.
Step 3: Find out all details of the situation and write your case study report.
Your report must have the following –
1. A brief description of the organization.
2. The background of the issue, in terms of what happened before the incident, were there any factors that led to the occurrence or causes and so on.
3. A description of the major protagonists and what part they played.
4. A detailed description of the problem/incident/crisis.
5. What have been /are the consequences for the organization or the individual(s) involved.
6. What is the current status, i.e. has there been a resolution of any kind or not.
7. Your analysis of the situation.
8. Your recommendations regarding what the organization can do to prevent such occurrences in the future.
