Course Objectives:

The objective of this course is to provide a broad exposure on the various Management Information Systems (MIS) topics ranging from classical introductory concepts to contemporary strategic topics like impacts of MIS upon a firm, and how firms are leveraging IT capabilities, and what more they can look forward to. We will also discuss the various System Development Methodologies and the Life Cycle Approach for Information Systems Development. We will also have a brief exposure to the Knowledge Management paradigm. The course delivery will be through lecture sessions as well as case study discussions, which will present a lot of typical real-life situations.

Term Project:

You will have to apply your knowledge/concepts taught in the class to some real-life example, which will be assigned to you individually, and come out with a write-up. Failure to submit the completed write-up within the deadline will attract penalty.
