Foreign Language Courses
Dear Students,
There has been an overwhelming response for French and German languages but relatively low response for Spanish language. Therefore, it is decided that, while German and French languages will be offered, Spanish will not be offered if the number falls below 15.
The classes for the German and Spanish courses are proposed to start from Saturday, February 3, 2007. French will be started a little later. The exact schedule will be announced shortly.
Given this large registration and difficulty in scheduling these classes, it will not be possible to have all the languages taught by Dr. Ashok Ghosh. Therefore, Dr. Ghosh will teach only German and Spanish. Mr. Vivek Kumar who taught French at the Institute last year, will be conducting the French classes.
Each course will involve 30 contact hours. The fee per language has been fixed at Rs.1,000/-. You are required to deposit your fee at the Accounts Office by 4:00 PM tomorrow, i.e. Friday, February 2, 2007.
I hope that these courses will be useful to you for your personal as well as professional development.
With best wishes,
Prof. B. Mohanty
Acting Dean (Academics)
